I have the privilege of working with a dynamic team dedicated to serving whānau. We are committed to partnerships, recognising that collaboration is essential for achieving Whānau Ora. “We simply can’t do this alone.” Our team delivers a range of services with whakaaro Māori at the forefront, helping us achieve the outcomes whānau desire. We utilise the principles of waka to engage with our people, providing awhi and support towards living healthy, well, and safe lives.
I have set clear expectations for our team: every person who seeks our help will be assisted, either by us or by someone in the community who can. Our focus remains steadfast, “Whānau as leaders for Whānau – He Taumata Whānau.” Mauri Ora.

I have the honour of leading two of our frontline Kai Manaaki teams by promoting a one team approach and improved communications. Through utilising the strength of the entire team, we aim to improve the overall quality of service delivered to our whānau, hapū, iwi and community.
In addition, ensuring that our Kai Manaaki have the resources needed to do their day-to-day duties, and providing a work environment where they are supported to share ideas, experiences and perspectives to build trust and respect amongst each other.

My role is to lead our other two frontline Kai Manaaki teams, so they are able to engage and support our whanau experiencing social and health service challenges, engaging them from a kauapapa Māori perspective.
We have a goal of whānau as leaders for whānau. Our team are relatable, passionate and proactive with a united focus – He Taumata Whānau. Together, we ensure our whānau receive the right awhi, encouragement and wrap around service to achieve their desired outcomes.

I have the honour of engaging and welcoming our whānau from the front door into our whare. Doing this without judgment and a smile to match ensures our whānau can access the awhi and support they need to make positive steps towards a better today and tomorrow.
I also mahi within our Operations, Systems, Processes and Financial Management areas to allow our waka to run smoothly and, provide admin support to our amazing Pou and Kai Manaaki which helps to set the pace and rhythm in the whare.

My role as Pou Manaaki is to support the Pou Raranga and Kai Manaaki with resources that they require to be able to deliver quality mahi while serving our whānau.
In addition, I manage and monitor the data, looking at area where we can improve to become more efficient and effective to achieve the organisations desired results and outcomes while focusing on achieving goals and provide accurate reporting.
The values of Ngāti Kahu Social & Health Services align with the principles of waka which navigates whānau to mana motuhake to become whānau as leaders for whānau.
I have been with Ngāti Kahu Social & Health Services for 10 years, and often I will step into other roles where and when needed.

With over 40 years’ experience in senior finance, sales, marketing, and governance roles in Aotearoa and the UK, Norm offers expertise in strategic planning, communication, organisational development, business coaching, and leadership across diverse sectors.

Mahue Greaves is the current Chair of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee (FAR) 2025, and has served as Boardchair from 2023-2025 since joining the Board in 2022.
She brings extensive governance, executive, and systems leadership experience across disabilities, iwi, community, and social sectors. As FAR Chair, she provides oversight of financial management, assurance, risk, and long term sustainability, applying a strategic, future focused approach to organisational stewardship.
Mahue is driven by a commitment to equity and believes kaupapa Māori organisations play a vital role in delivering responsive, values based alternatives within an increasingly corporate health environment.

Marty has served on multiple governance boards, including marae, local providers, and regional and national kaupapa based organisations. Marty brings strong management and leadership experience, a track record of innovation, and a commitment to advancing Mana Motuhake for our whānau and hapū.
Marty is a health professional with over 40 years of experience across a range of health system settings and Non Governmental Organisations. Marty’s passion lies in Māori Public Health and supporting whānau to realise their aspirations for their mokopuna.

Lisa is Kaihautuu at Te Roopu Tauwhiro I Aotearoa (ANZASW), a leadership role to champion Te Tiriti o Waitangi, strengthen Tangata Whenua leadership of Indigenous social work development in Aotearoa, and increase kotahitanga amongst members.
Lisa’s social work vocation spans several decades working alongside iwi and Māori roopu, government and non-government entities as a social worker, supervisor, consultant, academic and governance member. She has been an active whānau member of her marae, including in governance roles.

Raised in the Kaiaka/Peria Valley, youngest of seven, Trevor left the Far North for trade training and tertiary study at Canterbury, Victoria and Massey, completing Social Work and Public Administration diplomas with further Public Policy study. Over 45 years he worked across Māori Affairs, Te Puni Kōkiri, Justice, MSD and Oranga Tamariki, specialising in child protection, family and youth courts, and Māori leadership partnerships nationwide.
Trevor champions whānau-led responses to harm and trauma. His achievements include support for Te Kōhanga Reo, Māori child protection practice models, Ngāpuhi whakapapa solutions, and securing hapū Treaty claim rights. As a Trustee, his aspiration is true Oranga Tangata.
Ngāti Kahu is one of the six Muriwhenua iwi of the Far North of the North Island. Ngāti Kahu take their name from their founding ancestress Kahutianui-o-te-rangi, the daughter of Tūmoana, who captained the waka Tinana (later renamed Te Māmaru) which was one of the great voyaging canoes.
Established in the 1980s, Ngāti Kahu Social and Health Services promotes the health and wellbeing in communities through our commitment to kaupapa Māori principles. Our programs are culturally appropriate and collaborative with the local community.
