Whai Oranga Kai Manaaki Role

In this rewarding role you will enable Tangata Whaiora to live full and participatory lives within the community. Assisting to identify and achieve their goals in terms of employment, friendships, cultural, spiritual, and family and/or whanau connections. You will provide the support that will strengthen their identity and knowledge of tikanga Māori, enhance their quality of life, including achieving maximum wellness in the community. A professional qualification in health, mental health, or another related field is essential.

As a Whai Oranga Kai Manaaki, you’ll be confident in yourself and be able to help build and empower tangata whaiora to do the same. You’ll be familiar using Microsoft Office, with an ability to pick up tasks quickly and shift if needed in this agile environment. You’ll have a sense of humour and enjoy having a laugh throughout the day.
