Our services and programmes are specifically designed to bring whānau to a place of connection that will help ground and give purpose to their lives. Our journey as Ngāti Kahu Social and Health Services continues to evolve and shift towards our vision of ‘He Oranga Tangata’ – the wellbeing and health of all people.
Access to our Kaupapa Māori services include self-referral, or referral from primary and secondary health services, whānau, carers and community members.

Our qualified and registered Social Workers in Schools walk alongside our tamariki, helping them grow in confidence, resilience, and their ability to succeed within the school environment.
Working closely with tamariki, their whānau, and kura, we develop personalised plans using culturally grounded approaches that reflect Māori practices, values and local strengths familiar to our community — ensuring every child feels seen, supported, and empowered.
We also deliver kaupapa Māori programmes such as Waka Ama and Whenua Kōrero, creating spaces where tamariki can reconnect with their culture, identity, and belonging. Through these familiar and meaningful practices, we strengthen confidence, pride, and a sense of purpose in our tamariki.

Our Youth Mentors and Coaches provide guidance and practical support for rangatahi (including secondary school students and those receiving MSD support). We can help rangatahi to stay engaged in school, plan next steps, and connect with the right services. We walk alongside rangatahi and whānau to build safe, strong pathways.
