Our services and programmes are specifically designed to bring whānau to a place of connection that will help ground and give purpose to their lives. Our journey as Ngāti Kahu Social and Health Services continues to evolve and shift towards our vision of ‘He Oranga Tangata’ – the wellbeing and health of all people.
Access to our Kaupapa Māori services include self-referral, or referral from primary and secondary health services, whānau, carers and community members.

We have qualified social workers who help tamariki build confidence and succeed in school. They create personalised plans with the tamariki, their whānau, and the kura to support their overall wellbeing. Our social workers also run programmes like Waka Ama and Whenua kōrero, using Māori practices familiar to our community.

Our services support rangatahi in secondary school and those receiving Youth payments from Work and Income.
Youth Payment
For young people aged 16 or 17 who can’t live with their parents or guardians.
Young Parent Payment
For young people aged 16-19 who are the main caregiver for a child.
NEET Service
For 16-17-year-olds who are not in education, training, or employment, or are at risk of dropping out of school.
Youth Workers in Schools
Our youth workers provide one-on-one and group programmes including our lunchtime hip hop dance classes, creating personalised plans to support rangatahi in school.

Our Kai Manaaki support families involved with mental health services or those in the community who need help. We understand that asking for help can be difficult, so we are here to support you. We offer various tools to help you manage your wellbeing including group programmes.

Our mahi includes a variety of community services to help whānau address their concerns. Within the Kaupapa Māori framework, relationships are built on mutual trust, respect, and whānaungatanga. This is why we will help you navigate, advocate, and support you in the justice system, with non-government and government services, employment, housing, education, social, and health services.

Our service offers support to whānau who need housing. Our housing navigator helps navigate the housing system, advocate on their behalf, and connect them with essential resources. Our goal is to ensure everyone has a safe and stable place to call home.

Is a whānau-centred early-intervention support designed to strengthen families and improve the safety and wellbeing of children. Our programme provides support for Māmā with pēpi up to the age of 3 years.

We can provide a brief intervention through one-to-one counselling.

We provide support and programmes that raise awareness around mental health and addictions. These include group and individual tailored programmes to suit your needs.
In our roopu, we have a combination of lived experience and clinicians who are trained to mahi with whānau needing this specific support.
